Shenzhen Founder Microelectronics Starts 6-Inch IC Production

China's Shenzhen Founder Microelectronics, a joint venture between Founder Group and the Shenzhen Government, has recently started 6-inch IC (Integrated Circuit) production. This newly-inaugurated production line in Shenzhen is projected to turn out 20,000 chips per month in 2007 and reach a monthly output of 50,000 units in 2008. These chips are expected to find extensive use in consumer electronics such as MP3, MP4, DVD, and mobile phones, as well as in the power control and management markets.
